The Grain department of Blanchard Valley Farmers Co-Op is responsible for the management and flow of three grain types (Corn, Soybeans, Wheat) in and out of our facilities. Our department is broken down into three groups: Originators, Merchandisers, and Facility Managers. We have 8 Locations to serve our customer's needs, 2 of which are rail houses and the rest truck facilities.
These locations are: - Fostoria (75 car rail house and 9,510,000 Bin storage, 1.65 million ground storage)
- West Findlay (75 car rail house and 3,317,000 bin storage)
- Mt. Blanchard (706,500 bu)
- East Findlay (940,000 bu)
- McComb (847,000 bu)
- Shawtown (218,000 bu)
- Mt. Cory (440,000 bu)
- North Findlay (105,000 bu).
In 2011 BVFC handled a total of 26,798,478 bushels throughout all locations. The facility managers work directly with the grain merchandiser to make sure BVFC makes the most of our storage space.
